An item deprecates in price if people think there's a big supply, or if the demand lowers.
An example would be 20 attack maple shields. They deprecated due to the thought supply, but increased whenever people found out the supply was lower than expected.
That being said, whenever a better item is dropped, the demand lowers. Whenever an item of its kind is dropped, the supply lowers.
It's deprecating always, unless it's maple shields :p
