That was me that posted the list, but this is where you're mistaken - I don't give a flying pineapple about the 5 through 8 wands. This is about all of them and if your entire argument is based on a mere quarter of the items impacted you're clearly not arguing holistically.
I don't remotely care if those 4 luckless ones remain Gach only - they're a novely item designed for bastardized way of play. Full Luck bishops are taking away the 5 through 8 staves too.
I'm not arguing with you about Nexon's business model - Neither of us know enough about their plans to be able to form a coherent argument, the only thing we know for fact is they have a history of releasing gach only items that eventually begin to mainstream. Very few things stay gach-exclusive forever so any claim that a change will reduce their revenue overlooks the fact they're continually changing their revenue streams and reinventing ways of getting money.
Edited Note*
I'm going to make this absolutely clear for everyone - Regardless of your justification, excuses, logic or reasoning, fixing a bug is the right thing to do and no degree of argument will change that for me. Until or unless Nexon specifically states the exact features of these weapons in descriptive text, and the reality complies with that text, my interest in the matter doesn't change. Regardless of why you personally don't think it should happen, I simply don't care. I'm sure you can rationalize yourself blue in the face to fulfil whatever self serving gloom and doom sky is falling prophecy you wish to espouse regarding how absolutely essential it is for Nexon to do it Your Way Or Else. Still don't care. Unless one of you has developed unerring psychic powers, your Best Interest rationale is weak and based purely on your opinions. Nexon has screwed people over since day one. They wiped beta after saying they wouldn't - People stayed. They did rollbacks. People stayed. They gave us Tespia, made it completely unusable more than once, then cancelled it - People stayed. They let hackers go insane for months on end, on multiple occassions. People stayed. Anyone arguing that a change that impacts less than 2% of the overall peopulation is going to have catastrophic end results for Nexon is a moron. There is no nicer way to say that this far into the discussion. The entire 4th job population is replaceable in the eyes of Nexon. They have to be, because they're the population that's most likely to leave anyway. Every player in fact is just on the brink of leaving in the eyes of any business - Their goal isn't to retain you forever, it's to get as much money from you as they can before you leave, and if possible to try to prolong that a bit. The last part is a very low priority though when they already know a good chunk of you will be right back as soon as you've gotten over whatever sent you away, or as soon as they release something else you'd been waiting for.
Everything that can possibly be said based on factual evidence has been said. All the different opinions have been stated. Some people like it, some people don't. Gasp, shock, awe. If you really want your argument heard - Take it to the Nexon forum, noone here is going to do anything but give thier own already-given-by-someone-else-by-now opinion.
Now can we all stop beating this dead horse and start beating on Nexon to give us answers?
Far more productive and it's something we all agree we want.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.
