Talk to Nexon about Elemental Wands/Staves
Quote:Gee, do you really have to beg for parties from DrKs when you're doing as much damage as an archmage as a support class? What the hell are you whining about? I don't own an archmage, I do own a Bishop, and I think they're fine without a random damage boost resulting from a glitch.

I was implying the nature of a support class, not the current state of bishops. A support class would be the nature that I described; begging off Drks for the chance to party them at Skeles and getting .5%/hr, just like priests were like in 3rd job. I own a bishop without an ele wand (unlike loddlaen Goggleemoticon ) and I get along fine too. However, the element that is consistent with the whining from archmages is the concept that supply rise and costs decline as a result of bishops flooding the market with their useless wands. This is both extremely selfish and ultimately detrimental for Nexon.

  1. This isn't an 'everyday' event either. It's a one time fix.
  2. Nexon loses customer confidence either way. Hell, they lose customer confidence any time a GM takes a piss.
  3. The growth plan for these items is to be drops from leafre & aqua road mobs if the other versions are any indicator, just like chaos scrolls now drop from mobs. Gacha only is just an introductory phase. When these aren't gacha exclusive any more, Nexon's not losing anything it hasn't already comitted to losing in the interest of making the item more common.

And I doubt bubbles burst everyday in the real world either, however, this simply doesn't compute for Nexon, or us.

Nexon loses customer confidence everyday because of some incompetence, but very few people actually quit. There are people in Bera that I won't name that blatantly hacked their way to where they are right now and sold pendants/zhelms by hacking without ever getting banned, and yet you'll find that this kind of incompetence has lead very few to quit. This, however, directly affects the market and many people. Do you think many who spent 1Bill on their wand are going to continue playing after they watched that collapse by 50% or more? Nexon never said anything about reductions on holy damage. Heck, weren't these things introduced without reductions with a GM specifically saying that "we aren't like the other MSes"? Bishops have a justifiable reason to be able to keep these weapons without reductions, and a justifiable fury if they do at this late point in time. Like many have said, if the reductions had occurred from the outset, or even early on, then no one would particularly care because bishops wouldn't have been accustomed to the notion that there would be no penalty. To introduce them now is poor planning on Nexon's part to a degree that would be unthinkable considering their target audience and the economic situation as is (yeah, I'm sure going to give my kids big allowances so they can Smega the alphabet if I were a parent). Archmages won't quit if no one tells them a reduction is going to happen. The only ones that really complain are the ones that think this is going to benefit them, which it won't. Therefore, the best course of action is to keep it the way it is right now.

I thought you were the one that released the list of monsters that drop ele wands and staves o_O;; (or was it Fiel) This discussion has never been about Ele staves 1-8, or Ele Wands 1-4; it's been about Ele Wands 5-8, which don't even drop in JMS. I hope this isn't where that rumor on Sleepywood started to say the least >_>;; Of course, this would be a tremendous benefit to the community if it were implemented, primarily because it makes it affordable for archmages to get the boost and not the extra Mattk, which makes it impossible to continue a discussion about bishops barring them from getting the 25% since that would be more commonly available. The EWands 5-8 should remain a luxury commodity as always, or this game really does leave nothing to look forward to.
