What I dislike about this 'difficulty' setting is that you can only set it on bosses. ;/ In other MMOs, there were already difficulty-settings. I'll use Phantasy Star Online as an example, as soon as you start the game (on offline mode), you have to beat the beat in this order:
Normal -> Hard -> Very Hard -> Ultimate
There were 4 major bosses, in 4 major dungeons, and you had to kill them in order as well, after killing the final boss, you unlocked ____ mode. However, online-play was different, as soon as you go online, you can 'choose' the difficulty-setting whenever you're about to 'grind' or go boss-hunting. In that case, all monsters will have reduced EXP, reduced HP, reduced def, reduced att, and so on and so forth, as well as different drops.
On the hardest mode possible, the bosses appearances differs from all 3 other modes, as well as all monsters from every dungeon (and I'm not talking about a re-color here, unlike Nexon), and the drops were spiked massively. IMO, from Normal -> Hard -> Very Hard, the monsters only seemed slightly harder. On Ultimate, they could easily 1-2 HKO you, which in other modes, they couldn't do.
My point being, if Nexon did something like that to changed monster-drops + EXP, I would love to see that. This way, we could see how other players would react to it and start using their skills more than using their 'z0mb U83r 1337-DMG F555'.
