Did they even tell you how long your ban is for?
First offense is usually pretty brief - 24-72 hours or a week at most.
05/14/2009, 7:14 PM is ~= when you got banned so you might unban by that time on Monday or Thursday giving you an opportunity to add your 2 cents if there's been no visible response.
Really I think the fact it whipped up 4 pages of drama overnight on a board that rarely sees more than 3 replies should get their attention.
