The Consequences of Rare Maple Items

This argument subscribes to the fallacy that someone will come along and put in the scrolls for the cheaper prices, when in truth they're likelier to see that "everyone else" is a new higher price, and therefore charge that price or near it themselves.

There is no magical MapleStory Blue Book that lists the fair price for every single item at all times. Most people just subscribe to monkey see monkey do.

Which is why I said "only the insanely rich" in my earlier post. Only if you can constantly buy out the new shipments of whatever iten you're trying to raise, its just a waste of effort. If you can, the "monkey see monkey do" thing starts to take effect.

You try to get as close to a "monopoly" as you can so that supply and demand don't matter anymore. If you control 100% of the supply, then you control the price regardless of demand. Someone is going to need that 60% staff eventually, and as soon as everyone sees that someone bought one for 5m, then they all price theirs for 5m.
