The Consequences of Rare Maple Items

Say I bought every 60% staff scroll in the FM for 2m and stick them in my shop for 5m. Are the prices going to go sky high? Not for long, because people aren't actually willing to buy loads of 60% staves for 5m.

This argument subscribes to the fallacy that someone will come along and put in the scrolls for the cheaper prices, when in truth they're likelier to see that "everyone else" is a new higher price, and therefore charge that price or near it themselves.

There is no magical MapleStory Blue Book that lists the fair price for every single item at all times. Most people just subscribe to monkey see monkey do.
