I recommend Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy as good spyware removal programs.
Try clearing your cache out and deleting cookies from the sites / making sure cookies are allowed.
Google search not loading doesn't sound too good... do you ever get popups about your system deteriorating and having to get a program?
Edit: If DNS is the problem, you could try doing Start -> Run -> cmd -> ipconfig /flushdns [/SIZE]
