Recently Picked-up Anime?

The most recent anime I started watching is Strike Witches, pantless lolis ftw?

This anime = win.

I just picked up Kanon - so far it is ok but fails in comparison to Clannad but I'll see how it turns out.

I am also thinking about picking up Soul Eater but I am kind of skeptical about picking it up :x.

I watched Kanon (2006) first. Makes you appreciate Clannad more. Other direction makes you feel like a downgrade, but try not to let it influence your view on Kanon. Oh and don't watch Kanon... watch Kanon 2006... same basic storyline.. EPICLY better (Basically a remake). At least in this troper's opinion.

Tower Of Druaga

First episode is a joke episode, pay no mind to its weirdness. This anime is like .. uh... an anime of what would be an interesting MMO. In fact, I heard they actually DO have a game of this anime. Don't let that fact deter you from watching this though (it might to some). I still liked its style. Once again, first episode = joke episode. The rest of the anime isn't as... well you'll see if you watch it.

TL;DR: Wait at least until episode 5 to say you don't like it.

Natsume Yujincho

THIS is how anime is supposed to be done. Touching stories throughout the series. I can't possibly tell you guys how much I liked this anime.

Otogi-Jushi Akazukin (TV)

Or Fairy Musketeers (Don't ask). Like my recommendation with Tower of Druaga, PLEASE stick around for a few episodes. In all honesty, I HATE little kids. And yet still, I really liked watching this anime which has nothing BUT them. Magical battles are a plenty.

Translated: About a certain magical Index.
Another example about how anime should be done. I have no doubts that I will be watching this anime again. Hands down excellence in magical-ish battles. Interesting plot developments, awesome characters and a VERY diverse cast of characters personality-wise.

Nanatsuiro Drops

I'm spotting a certain magical coincidence in all of this anime Also, since I've seen people on other forums do this... PLEASE oh pretty please, do NOT call this a Card Captor Sakura rip off and choose not to watch it. I can assure you that this anime deserves much more credit than that.

Granted the main character's voice is a bit on the squeaky side, which made me want to discard that anime instantly. However, I decided to see it through to the end and I never regretted that decision.

All I can say is... make season 2 already
Magical Battles meets Harem Comedy for excellent results. Yes, I believe that's the easiest way to describe this anime.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni

Translated: When They Cry. <--- I think... "They" referring to cicadas.

As big of a MUST-watch anime as... um... any anime you can think of. Both seasons and the OVA are available there. Page 2 has the first episode of the first season.

Higurashi no naku Koro ni Kai is the 2nd season.

Hmm, I wonder if I should make a thread with descriptions and links to all of the anime I've ever watched. If anyone's interested, lemme know and I might just go for it. It'll take forever though since as you see above, I like to give at least a little bit of an explanation to each anime. Laters~
