I joined this forum on 08-30-2008, and I only had 5 posts prior to this one. I often don't post because it's rare that I have something to say that hasn't already been said by another person. I personally don't like sifting through countless replies that say the same thing, and I'm not one to beat a dead horse, so I just sit back and watch other people do it.

Anyway, I also applied for the Maple Guide program.
I was very honest with my answers to the "controversial" questions on the application. I believe they are intended to milk the applicant of honesty, rather than to scam the individual. I did play one private server without knowing the true severity of the issue. I take full responsibility for my actions, and I stated this in my application. Had I used common sense and realized that I was committing a crime, I never would have played a private server. Not that it condones my actions, but I didn't play a private server because I dislike the game-play of MapleStory. I really enjoy the challenge you face when climbing to level 200 and whatnot. I only played a private server to scroll with white scrolls, so I could approximate how many white scrolls I would need to scroll perfect equipment on my true MapleStory account, haha. I figure that it could not hurt to explain.
I can understand why they would disregard my application as I played on a private server at one point in time, but if it jeopardizes my account, I will be very, very upset. If accounts are lost because Nexon used the honesty of individuals (who are applying with genuine intention to help fellow MapleStory players) against them, then shame on them.
So much respect would be lost for the company, and I'm sure this wrongdoing would extend much further than just the players who lost something. If Nexon has any sense, they will not scam the applicants. Besides, wouldn't action be taken based solely on an applicant's word? Can Nexon really find out if someone played a private server if it is no longer installed? (I'm actually not sure, so it isn't a rhetorical question.)
And why target the people who are applying to HELP your game, you know?
And that's my input.
I hope it isn't disregarded because it's only my sixth post.
