You're right, but how long ago was that? Like 2 years, at the least. Back when you could bot for days on end without any interruption, before all the "good" hacks were patched, before hacking was a "problem" because hackers only did so on the most elusive maps, excluding a few morons who thought they were cute.
There's a lot more idiots now then there used to be. It only seemed populous then because there was dramatically less players in general.
Heh, that was before CEF really even hit it off and became get-all place for anybody who wanted MapleStory hacks and whose best friend was Google.
.EDIT: Yeah, that was like, what, Beta/Months-post-Beta? That was when stuff was still dirt cheap because no one had mesos and hacking was actually really profitable in comparison to how it is now.
