A possible mage fix

The weapon speed idea sounds pretty cool. I always wondered why the weapons had different speeds, or weapon attack at all. It's not like mages have any reason to use the thwack, ever.

But really, I think that elemental wands are pretty stupid too. I defenitely would have preferred amp to give 160-165% m. att than a weapon which gives more.

I would also accept a nerf to ultimates if they made AMs stronger with single target DPS. If they brought down every ultimate to 400 base att and gave each single target skill 100 more base, I'd be happy.
