Has anyone explored the possibility that the other woman was just better?

In the Youtube news report, the analyst said that Miss California was the clear favorite as she was ahead after all the events except for questioning. I have no idea how the pagent works so... yeah...according to the newscast on youtube, she was supposed to win (allegedly).

Also, is it possible to say that you dont want to answer a question and ask for a new one?
