If air strike is doing 50ks like you guys suggested, proportionally torpedo is dishing out 32.5ks which is a 3hko.
I don't think I ever said air strike sucks. What I do believe is torpedo > air strike and you should not level air strike up so early. So far, no one has given me one good point of what air strike can do that torpedo cannot do
Have you tried this at peak? Unless you blow a lot of points on air strike (And the majority of you don't even wanna blow a ton of points on rapid fire), you're going to run out of spawn and still gonna be air striking the top. While you run out of spawn, the top is gonna build up more monsters from say 6, to 7, to 8, etc. Eventually, you're gonna have to go up there and wipe out the remaining ones. Other than that, you're gonna lose spawn on your platform. Don't you think there's a reason why bishops have to move around when using genesis? If they just stayed where they were, they would lose spawn. Likewise with air strike, you will eventually lose spawn and you're going to have to go up there anyways. And when you're up there, you're gonna torpedo/canon mobs because unless air stirke is definently gonna KO them, you're gonna have a bunch of skele blasts hitting your character.
Air strike can't keep up with torpedo. Going to the platforms and torpedoing them > standing on one platform and air striking the top. If you're gonna run out of spawn and end up going to the top anyways, it's better to balance the spawn out and continously go back and forth rather than annihalate one plat, run out, and go to the next. While this works for other classes, due to your ship very likely to take more unnecessary damage, this fails.
Out of curiosity, how many of the "For" Air Strike people actually train at skele MD with a bishop/archmage? Experience > theory

Air Strike hits above you.
That means you can wipe out a platform with Torpedo, hit the monsters one platform above you, wipe your current platform clean again since monster respawn, and then clear out the platform above you.
This way you can take out 2 platforms instead of just 1.
