Miserable attempt explaining why almost all magic formula becomes unreliable.

You get that effect for exponential equations.

Oh I understand the math behind it, but I'm not talking about extremely technical specifics. I'm just saying that when you calculate damage that's 4k over the damage cap of 199,999, it's almost negligible. I knew the formula was wrong, and I knew that if I shot over the desired value by several thousand, I would be in the neighborhood of the cap.

I don't know, am I making any sense? Essentially when you're down to calculating something that's maybe 1/40th of the damage you're trying to do, I felt it wasn't a big deal using the incorrect formula I've memorized, and making adjustments where necessary with my magic (ex. Echo).
