Did you even read my post about the Japanese language? R's and V's DO exist in the Japanese language. R's are used all the time. V's, however, are only on special occasions (such as Valentines Day [ヴァレンタインの日]).

X, L, C and Q do not exist in the Japanese language. However, when using katakana, some translations do use them. For instance, Quest would be クエスト (kuesuto or quesuto).

I am talking about old times. The examples of V, Fa and Jie are modern improvements of Katakana. People are still having difficulties pronouncing those sounds in real life, it exists in written language on magazines and papers. Honest truth, Japanese people find it VERY difficult to pronounce the R sound, like how Koreans can't say F or V sound (They would still call Laura "Ro-la").I have studied Korean with Japanese people, and they can't say the Korean particle rur(sounds more like rul), they have the tend to say ruru instead. ヴァレンタインの日<- Ask a real Japanese person to say it. They will sure say "Balentainsu dei".
