Thinking God made the world in 6 days is just stupid. Not to say I don't believe in God, which I do.
When you look at how mind boggingly complex the human body is, it's hard to think that we evolved like this completely by random chance. I think that God led a sort of guiding hand in our evolution. Even over 4.6 billion years it's hard to think that something this complex could evolve.
A great movie about this is Inherit the Wind. It's about the 1930's "Monkey Trial" Where a school teacher was convicted for teaching evolution in school. Of course, it's exaggerated in the movie, where in real life a substitute just read what was in the book.
In the end one of the lawyers looks at the Bible and On THe Origins of Species and puts them both together into his briefcase.
