Edit : Okay, if you're looking for completely exact times, sorry for your luck. I was using my cell phone stopwatch. Anyway, I dropped an orange mushroom cap, and from the time it hit the ground, to the time it started to fade away, it took 3 minutes, 2 seconds. So, as Dyxanije stated; about three minutes - give or take.
Again, this is only for an orange mushroom cap. For all I know, different items could have different disappearing times.
