December 25, 2012: Area 51

A dark green jeep pulled into an abandoned weapons facility. Large boxes were stacked up on one another inside the large complex. A well-built man with a stone-face saluted what appeared to be an elderly general who was beginning to bald. Any hair he had left was well-grayed. Facing the private who was currently saluting him, General Armstrong barked out, "Private! What is the status on the containment of the erratic."

The well built man replied, "Sir. The last crate has been stabilized with enough kinetic friction to keep the samples heated up sufficiently."

"Very good Private." The private began to leave before General Armstrong grabbed him by his arm. The private looked extremely surprised.

General Armstrong smiled, "Private you forgot to tell me where Doctor Renee is located. Such actions are common procedure."

The Private briefly paused before answering, "In the breakroom sir. I'll lead you to him immediately." The Private took three steps before the recoil of a gun could be heart and with a bullet lodged right into his heart. The Private looked back at the General with a surprised expression on his face.

The General merely shot two more bullets. One into each of his eyes. A small child opened the door to the passenger seat of the van. In a childish voice he explained, "Stop. More bullets won't work. You have to wait..."

The General sighed at the child and thought to himself, "Great. A child is telling me that I need to wait. Probably wants to wait until I go pre-historic." Suddenly a painful pitch could be heard. The General fell on his knees clutching his ears. The pain seared all throughout his body and seemed to attack his core. Slowly the world began to spin out of control.

The child unaffected by the sound whispered in the General's ear, "Nascere." Suddenly the pain stopped. The General got up and opened his eyes and whispered, "Holy pomegranate, this sure isn't Kansas." The General was on a small green piece of land which surrounded what appeared to be a giant lake with a large fountain in the center. The child whispered, "it's coming. Get away."

The child quickly scribbled down something on two index cards and stuck them underneath his feet. The General was surprised as he could feel a gust of air chilling his feet. The child inscribed two more index cards with the same marking, "Quick General Harding. Please put these under your feet."

General Harding was about to put them underneath his feet when the fountain began to crumble, causing the sea level to rise immensely. A giant sea creature began to arise which had three heads composed of numerous human heads that resembled a Hydra. General Harding identified one of the head in surprise, "Private Jennings!"

The head quickly affixed it's attention to the General. With a strained face it finally spoke, "G-g-general... please get the hell out of here. This thing... it eats humans and it can take on their human figure... Area 51 has been jeopardized. All the samples are on the loose. I'm so-so-so..."

Private Jennings face was absorbed by the monster. All the faces stared ferociously at the General for causing it to lose control over it's collective entity and lunged at the General viciously.

Harding clenched his teeth and braced his arms for impact. When he opened his eyes, he discovered the monster was frozen in mid-air. A large paper cross composed of hundreds of thousands of index cards ran through the mid-section of the monster, causing it to slowly disintegrate into the pale-blue sky.

Harding looked to the boy for an explanation but he had collapsed in the pool of water. Apparently it was a levitation spell that wore off when the user became exhausted. Harding never had the chance to use the index cards given to him. Before he could even explain the phenomena around him, the cards had vanished. The pool of water receded into point blank nothingness and the weapons complex slowly began to fade back into existence.

General Harding was used to the surreal. Being in charge of Area 51 caused him to expect the extraordinary. But this child and the events which transpired opened up a whole new ballgame. First things came first though. The General lifted the child off the floor, the soggy clothes dripping as he took him to a sleeping cot where he changed his clothes and turned on the heater. The General armed himself with an AK47 and remained awake remembering Private Jenning's final words, "Area 51 has been jeopardized. All the samples are on the loose."

The child had regained consciousness while in bed. He looked tired and wearisome. Despite this he acknowledged the confusion in General Harding's expression. And tried to explain the events that had transpired,
"Once upon a time there was a group of mudkips. These mudkips had no trainers because nobody wanted them, so they created Mudkip Land. They would train themselves so hard until they leveled into Marshtomps. Only the best became Swamperts. The less fortunate mudkips who could not evolve were forced to become servants and apprentices to the Swamperts, eagerly obeying every order and performing every menial task given to them in the hopes that they would gain enough experience to one day level up and become just like their masters..."
