That would give a reason for ranks.
It'd be nice.
Also, why not make it so, put the item on the bin, someone requests it, you get a notification asking if you really want to give it away. But then it'd just be like trade except it could be used for long distance trading.
Actually, I like the free for all thing.
Oh wait, make it so you have to put something in to take something out.
