Science isn't everything.
It's a method of thinking and questioning that involves high validity. Otherwise, you'd see people trying to make ridiculous claims without evidence, (especially those from religion) and then many people will end up believing the wrong things because someone said so.
You're welcome to believe anything you'd like, but science just makes things a lot more standardized.
