The reason common sense is a failure explanation for anything is that it is not reliable. For something to be reliable, everyone, or the vast majority of the people, must be able to accept it. The mere fact that people may have different common senses makes me disregard it as an explanatory style, thus, truly the only way to explain is with objective data.Your first example with the "Better safe than sorry" can apply, but not all people care about being safe. At the same time with the innocent until proven guilty idea, once you ARE found guilty, you are punished/have to face consequences. You are being punished for what you have done regardless of evidence was available at the time. If they wanted to go back and ban all those who abused bigfoot before they announced it, they very well can. If you murdered someone but there was no evidence for the longest time, when they do find evidence, you'll have to pay for it. Are you saying that while you claim "innocence till proven guilty", are you also claiming that if they wanted to ban people for glitch abusing, they would? You tell me.

Really though, the analogy with your mother's sweater doesn't apply, because that's just disregarding politeness, and you are affecting another person. For the analogy to work, the ownership of the sweater must shift to yourself. The branch noses, after all, are untradeable. Only people gaining more than a certain ratio of exp gain after the announcement were banned for misconduct, and even so, misconduct bans don't take you off rankings.

That's the thing. Once they announce that bigfoot is glitched, that doesnt mean that it wasnt glitched before; It was ALWAYS glitched, we just werent aware of it. The thing has always existed as it is, its just that the status was merely changed.

2) Clean slate glitch is a glitch because by fixing it, Nexon implies that it's a glitch. By what you said with the "better safe than sorry" logic, they would surely ban you for glitching. However, they decided to look the other way. I have yet to hear of someone getting banned for +6 capes, but if I get banned when they unlock my cape two weeks from now, I'll believe you.I'm not proving it's a glitch or not.

The results should not dictate the status of it. Just because Nexon decided to have mercy on the glitch abusers, doesnt mean its okay. Suppose xxxx hacked up to 14x and though Nexon said they were banning hackers and banned a tonne of them, if xxxx didnt get banned, does that mean he did nothing wrong?

I'm saying it should be labeled as a nonglitch as opposed to a glitch.There are two things wrong with this. First, KMS/other versions might have different gacha noses (either named differently or shaped differently), or their gacha noses may have different IDs. The second thing wrong with this is that their tree saps MIGHT have worked on the noses, but nobody here has found whether they had or had not, thus, everyone assumes that they work properly. A classic example of this is the case of whether or not people in JMS were supposed to be able to egg all three slots of their HTPs. It took quite a while to find out whether or not they were able to do it, and then form an explanation other than just screaming out "GLITCH".

KMS/other versions having different gach noses is enough to prove that it is a glitch: In their versions, the sap was made EXCLUSIVELY for the expiring nose. With that in mind, being able to use it on a non-expiring nose would be using the item for a purpose that wasnt intended, no?

Nexon only does item purges for hacking, they don't do it for glitching. They did it for the duping that went on in the past, but they didn't do it for the clean slate glitch. They probably won't for this either.

They didnt even purge duped items for the most part; that's why there's still so many of them out there. Again, as I mentioned above, if they didnt purge the items, does that make duping okay? Also, they never made an announcement about duping (from what I remember anyways)... does that mean its okay to do so?

After all, that would be a direct attack at people who use their gachapon, or people who buy NX in general. It'd just be bad business.

As one of the GMs said, many of the testers in tespia were telling them about things completely unrelated to the content. They were receiving tickets such as "OMG I got selected", or "Can you talk to me in game about my account", or some other variation of that. Thus they used an autoreply system to detect certain words, and I speculate that at the end of the last testing, they didn't even bother reading because they were overloaded with useless comments.

This just looks like a classic nexon coverup to me. They can twist words to mean whatever they want without lying. So if they received 1000 tickets regarding bugs and then the 2 that you mentioned above, they could still have said they were getting useless tickets, which isnt lying. But in that scenario, its just a lazy way out.

I bet given the chance to try, you would glitch it. After all, you were one of the first to test out white slating.I concur.

Woah woah, lets get some facts straight here:

1. I wasnt abusing anything; I didnt know about the glitch, I was merely testing something out for the sake of discovery, not for the sake of making money.

2. Dont forget who talked me into this because they were too poor. Before that one time I tried clean slating to satisfy your curiosity, I have never gotten close to any glitch. I only did it for you to satisfy your curiosity. Dont turn around and throw my kindness to risk my money for your curiosity as a foothold to say that I'd glitch given the chance.

3. I dont abuse glitches. In my opinion, this is a Known glitch, hence I wouldnt touch it. WHatever we just bet, you lost, hand over the money.

Ps. Calling people jealous is just an excuse for lack of better reply. I mean, cmon, are we REALLY all just jealous that Harrison has a 7/12 +6 cape or whatever the stats are and people's +15 str 0 slot nonexpiring noses? If you really think Im calling it a glitch just because your items have better stats then mines, then you need to grow up. The world doesnt revolve around you or your equips. I couldnt care less what stats my equips have. Even if I had a legit 16 stat nose (6 str, 10 dex), I'd still be bringing up this issue either way. Im not saying it personally so dont take it personally, simple as that.
