Really, your innocent until proven guilty bs seems more an excuse than an actual reason. Seems that common sense isnt proof enough for you. As Ive said before, are you a child? Do you need EVERYTHING explained to you in pure black and white terms before you believe it? Do you REALLY have no ability to think for yourself that things are okay to do till they clearly say you cant? Does your mom really have to tell you "Do not throw my Green and white sweater into that mud puddle 3 meters in front and to the left of our front door gate" for you to know not to do it?

You're right, common sense isn't enough for me. That's because common sense is just an explanatory label used for rationalizing "simple" things. The reason common sense is a failure explanation for anything is that it is not reliable. For something to be reliable, everyone, or the vast majority of the people, must be able to accept it. The mere fact that people may have different common senses makes me disregard it as an explanatory style, thus, truly the only way to explain is with objective data.

With that in mind, cant I throw a cliche right back at you? "Better safe than sorry" If you're not sure, then take the safe route; dont do it and have no risk of getting banned/losing your item at all. If you threw your mom's sweater into the puddle and answer her with "You never told me not to", does that mean you're off the hook? Better not mess around with your mom's sweater in case she doesnt want it dirty.

Your first example with the "Better safe than sorry" can apply, but not all people care about being safe. If you want to apply this to your analogy, then you could just tell your mother that it fell in the puddle by accident.

Really though, the analogy with your mother's sweater doesn't apply, because that's just disregarding politeness, and you are affecting another person. For the analogy to work, the ownership of the sweater must shift to yourself. The branch noses, after all, are untradeable. Let's say then, if you throw your own sweater into the puddle, then would you say "better safe than sorry"?

That aside, I'm pretty sure the game doesnt work as "innocent till proven guilty", as EVERY single glitch you've exploited has ended up with it indeed being a glitch.

1) The bigfoot glitch wasn't a glitch until they declared it a glitch. Only people gaining more than a certain ratio of exp gain after the announcement were banned for misconduct, and even so, misconduct bans don't take you off rankings.

2) Clean slate glitch is a glitch because by fixing it, Nexon implies that it's a glitch. By what you said with the "better safe than sorry" logic, they would surely ban you for glitching. However, they decided to look the other way. I have yet to hear of someone getting banned for +6 capes, but if I get banned when they unlock my cape two weeks from now, I'll believe you.

I dont know, but by past experience, some of us here can say that you claiming it not to be a glitch is proof enough that it is a glitch.

I'm not proving it's a glitch or not. I'm saying it should be labeled as a nonglitch as opposed to a glitch.

As Ive said, hasnt this event been released in KMS/other versions before us like most events of this manner? Have their saps worked on their gachapon tree branches? Im pretty sure they didnt or else this wouldnt be a discovery at all like it seems the way its mentioned here by some people. If they didnt work there and work here, is that enough "proof" to call it a glitch?

There are two things wrong with this. First, KMS/other versions might have different gacha noses (either named differently or shaped differently), or their gacha noses may have different IDs. The second thing wrong with this is that their tree saps MIGHT have worked on the noses, but nobody here has found whether they had or had not, thus, everyone assumes that they work properly. A classic example of this is the case of whether or not people in JMS were supposed to be able to egg all three slots of their HTPs. It took quite a while to find out whether or not they were able to do it, and then form an explanation other than just screaming out "GLITCH".

Do you know anyone who's chaos'd their tree branch? The simple answer will be for nexon to just purge all these branches, then have whoever actually chaos'd their nose go complain; do you know anyone who's chaosed their nose for more strength? I certainly dont.

Nexon only does item purges for hacking, they don't do it for glitching. They did it for the duping that went on in the past, but they didn't do it for the clean slate glitch. They probably won't for this either. After all, that would be a direct attack at people who use their gachapon, or people who buy NX in general. It'd just be bad business.

Tespia wouldnt help; As seen in the testings last year, even when people reported the bugs, they just imported the said bugs directly to GMS (Pet looting glitch, broken quests, mispellings, etc.).

As one of the GMs said, many of the testers in tespia were telling them about things completely unrelated to the content. They were receiving tickets such as "OMG I got selected", or "Can you talk to me in game about my account", or some other variation of that. Thus they used an autoreply system to detect certain words, and I speculate that at the end of the last testing, they didn't even bother reading because they were overloaded with useless comments.

A very logical way of preventing this is by screening the players instead of choosing them at random, but that's too bad that Nexon chose to randomize Tespians that eventually led to the fall of that server.

You missed the point there... How much I spent is irrelevant, as are the motives. I wasnt gaching 150 tickets to get the nose to gach. In fact, I havent touched gach tickets since this event started. I wanted the nose for the stats it added: 4 str and a potential 0-10 dex from 60/70% scrolls. People buy the white scrolls with intention to glitch them, I buy the tickets with the intention of using the item for what its actually supposed to be used for.

I bet given the chance to try, you would glitch it. After all, you were one of the first to test out white slating.

Question: Does it really matter? Without karma scissors it affects no one except the player with the nose. And being jealous of someone else having the nose is like being jealous of someone having better gear than you, grow up.
