kajiti - completely agree, the sketching i do is nothing more than copying from a really pretty reality this is why the reference matters so much, and why i really appreciate work such as throws makes, which is innovative and spontaneous without needing a reference. i have posted some sketches that have been completely constructed by me but they are tedious and laboured and not very realistic anyway.

it is a lot easier than it appears, the business of using a pencil harder or softer to merely transfer a photo on to paper. it's the same with digital sketching!
