Wow, I was looking at a possible config. for a controller and I don't have enough skills to really max it out. I have no skills on the right analog stick and I'm gonna use the left analog stick to switch into Transformation settings (like you did xD). Once we get kMS updates for skills then it'll be pretty full =].
Also a few questions
1. Can you use your keyboard while having the controller on? Or do you have to turn it off?
2. Do you use your controller for more than one character? Is it even possible to do that or will I have to buy 2 controllers?
3. When you push the left analog stick to switch into Battleship it auto-mounts you onto Battleship right? Can I push the left analog stick and have it change into a Transformation configuration without actually Transforming me?
I'll ask more questions if I think of any. Thanks if you answer =]
1. of course.
I usually just lay the controller on my desk or in my lap while I'm typing.2. yeah, you can either use the same joytokey profile for any character, or make one for each character. if you use only one profile, you have to have each character's keys mapped in a similar fashion.. like, say I have a profile set up for a magician, I have magic claw on the X key, which is the key that button 1 on my controller is mapped to. if I decide I want to play a swordman using the same profile, and I want power strike on button 1, I'd have to put power strike on the X key as well. I typically set up a new profile for each character.. this is especially helpful if you ever play your friends' characters! they'll love that you won't have to change their keys lol.
3. the left analog stick control was actually tricky for me.. at first I had it so that I had to press the stick in to mount the battleship (this is basically what you want to do & it's easy), and press another button to switch the configuration.. needless to say that worked out terribly.. I always forgot to push one of them.. X_X. I resolved it by editing the joytokey.ini file to allow multiple instances of the program to run, and set up a "battleship help" profile on one of them that would mount the battleship, while leaving the "switch to battleship mode" command on the other. I probably explained that in terrible way, but if you just want to set it up to do one thing (change to transform profile only), you'll have no problems lol.
