For melee classes, it's best to just "stand" on him and take some 1.8ks while avoiding the magic attacks. One thing I noticed was that it had terrible accuracy, and it often missed my CB about 2/3rds of the time or more. It's a good boss to make money off of because the etc. goes for 100k and you can always NPC the drops (seems like the etc item and equips drop at a VERY high rate, or 100%) as well as all those pots it drops. I was also able to get a 60% Cape LUK from it.
