I'm convinced that the JMS HT pendant there was done with Karma scissors and an abuse of the "lost" quest. What I think happened here is this:
1. Got a HT Pendant and Nine Spirits Egg.
2. Hatched Nine Spirits egg and scrolled with the resulting Dragon Stone.
3. Used Karma Scissors to move the HT Pendant off the character.
4. When this happens, a new, repeatable quest appears which was originally designed to allow you to get a Stone for your second pendant should you lose or destroy the first. Since the character is not in possession of a scrolled HT pendant, They can start the quest and get a second Dragon Stone.
5. Retrieve the first HT Pendant, apply the Dragon stone to it.
6. Use Karma Scissors to get rid of it again, and repeat steps 3-6 for the 3rd stone.
It's hard to be sure how the repeatable egg retrieval quest works since it's not in GMS, but this is what I think happened. Otherwise we'd have seen a lot more of these.
