Yeah, that's the only thing that bothers me about the class. I'd like to explain things more thoroughly but I'd need to cut too much away from the actual story to do so.

Mariana refers to the Mariana Trench, which is the deepest area of the world's oceans. The Challenger Deep is a pit in the Mariana Trench; the deepest in the Earth.
