I'm using average to below average equips at the moment and a base of 53 dex 
Hell i still have a 100%d overall at level 92 xP Most expensive piece of equipment on me is probably my 10 dex earrings that i got from my cousin. my zhelm only cost me 19 mil cause my cousin was on the zrun =P
I'm almost at 100 dex tho. Only need 3 more dex. I'll either get me a scroll for shoe jump 60% 3 times to get me that 3 dex, or i'll just add it on there with leveling. I'll use any attack knuckle that i can afford that will boost my damage (currently using white fangz 84/9 which wasn't bad for 20 mil) I still hae trouble with my timing for attacks and spacing of my character, but that's only because I'm used to not staying on top of stuff as a bowmaster (on top of stuff for ranged = death). So in a way, i'm a chickenbutt.
Yeah i really don't have the money either (not required level to boot). I have 8 mil left for pots and around 55 mil in storage just in case i need more pot money (or i find a good deal).
