why would you expect bannings as an event..?

By my logic of blue text before the patch appeared when GMs banned hackers at places like Horntail and Zakum, I had the bright idea during that time that GMs were doing the same thing during 1st day of the patch. I didn't know it was a mass monster event in the respective towns, because I was at CWKPQ trying it out. Guild alliance recently broke up and guild was very small at the time, so I had no one to tell me it was a GM monster event. In a sense, self-fail.
