but soloing looks to be much harder unless your really high lvled, or don't mind running around the map jump shooting and going into DS until BF is killed.

That's exactly how I do it now. Very annoying and it took time to get it down to a semi-science. BF won't think to stomp you most times if its busy running at you. So if you DS and run right at it, it'll bypass you. Then you can come out and FJ away to get some space. Just make sure you don't come out without sufficient space away from the swinging Lollipop and don't stay in that too long, otherwise it might try to stomp.
