Collected Data of %/hr for Archers
#1
You can find a better format on my blog here

Please understand this is a tedious work
and I’d love to do one big update per month
instead of small, weekly update or something >_<

.
SW.net users can post their data on MutantGuitar’s thread:
Data Collection: %/hour for archers

Collected Data of %/hr for Different Levels
( 12/9/06~6/11/08 )

Intro:

Since the beginning of this thread on sw.net it has received over 20k views.
After getting unbanned then mysteriously rebanned and eventually got account wiped out by Adura, this thread was moved to my blog and by the end of July 15th it has got 13,308 views.

By making this thread on SP.net means extra work for me to update
the data on both my blog and on this forum at the same time.
But I see a potential archer community growing and
I thought wherever there's archers, this thread might help the serious trainers.

Archer is known for leveling slower than other classes
and we definetely are not the easiest class of all.

There are a number of archers that might question themselves
whether they are training efficiently at the
“appropriate” monsters for their level.

Purpose:

This is a thread where dedicated archers can share with us
their %/hr gained from certain monster at a certain level
When there is enough data this could be an estimated
standard for other archers to find out if they are doing well in training.

Your Contribution:

What you can do to find out how much %/hr you are gaining
at the moment is to record your current % and time,
Concentrate on training for one hour
(try to get the max % possible in this hour)
and by the end of 60 minutes write down your % again.

For example:

at 4:35 pm I have 44.03% at zombies and I am level 75.
(I write down the time and % exp on a paper and
start training with no talking or screwing around.)
at 5:35 I found that I have 55.86%.

This doesnt require too much time or effort.
All you have to do is write down the time and your current %
and record the data again after one hour.

.
PLEASE include the following when submitting data:

*Must be % gained in ONE HOUR, and be specific.
*Post your attack range, if not, the data will be marked as gray.
*Include the name of the monster
*Solo? or Party? Let us know.
*If you used the evil x2 Exp card, include it to your data

Basic Format for a data:
10%, lvl 80 Ranger, Att: 950~1500, Zombie (Solo)
12%, 2% in 10 minutes, lvl 70 Sniper, Att: 1000~2000, Zombie

*some of the data are incomplete
(such as getting % based on every 10 minutes instead of 1 hour,
or missing attack range/class, and etc)

in the original post on my blog these incomplete ones are marked with lighter font color.

Training Comments & Thoughts

@Hoodoo/Voodoos
Ulcer Wrote:hoodoo/voodoos are probably better once you get to late 6x,

from my little sojourn to voodoo/hoodoo,
I felt that I got 5% there a LOT faster than I did at STD’s

icetink1 Wrote:I was able to top out at around 3m/h soloing Gobies before the arrival of 4th job, averaging 2.7-2.8m/h

lyanna/???, lvl 14x Crossbowmaster Wrote:i swear [frostprey] is the most handy skill i have, 1 freaking point and nothing touches me.
The only thing i did different is that with frostprey freezing the line constantly i used pierce quite a bit.
Since i only have lvl 9 pierce, which when on apple, becomes ridiculously useful due to its insanely
high dmg to to the entire line. On just regular atk pots its more like 20-40k per newtie but yea due to the
warm-up time i dno if its really faster, was using it mostly for the fun factor.

Either way, my exp here crushed anything i could hope to get at gobies and much better
(also way more fun) than himes. Pot cost not too bad either.
I didnt get exact timing so i think today if i can im going to time with and without pierce to get exact numbers.

Kettchup/Selesar, lvl 13x Bowmaster Wrote:The left side seems pretty popular to me. Both at the middle platform and at the bottom. You’ll only kill 2 newties per spawn (or 1 + half a nest golem at the bottom), but most of us aren’t as powerful as you [the above quote] anyway. Tongue

@Skeles/Golems
TakumiFJWR, lvl 145 Bowmaster Wrote:I train at skeles/golems with a 11x priest. I get around 10-12%/hour with 2x exp., that’s about 10-12mil/hour. It all depends on the class of the other attacker. With a NL I can top off 12%/hour, DK around 11%, and I/L arch mage (not spamming bliz) 10%.

feel free to point out errors or suggest areas of improvement,
thansk.
