I've ripped people off before (if an item is cheap in the FM or they drop traded it, I'm not gonna leave it), if they ask for the item back I return it. It's not that difficult.
When people trade me and offer items below their sale value, I agree and then pay the full price after they accept the trade. It may not be as profitable, but it makes me feel a lot better about my moral standards.
