i believe "fabulous deals" would fall under this.

The key word here is: fraudulent. Fraudulent pretty much means deceit. The point is that you didn't have to trick people to get good deals, they were just there.

this isn't "cheating someone out of an item"? :

Pretend you're at a casino. Suddenly a $100 bill slips out of a man's pocket and he doesn't notice it, and you pick it up. You didn't pick his pocket for it, therefore, you didn't steal the $100, you found it. It's up to you whether or not you want to give it back.

However, when trading, it's a bit different. The underlying rule is that all trades are final. If they set it up like that, you can automatically assume that they wish for it to be sold at that price. Ignorance is no excuse.
