Balrog Boss quests

Ok, so last night I did the Manji and the Old Gladius quest so that I could get down there and start working on these new quests. You can't even enter the new area unless you have that quest completed, which is pretty annoying. I pretty much ended up doing a myriad of other quests just to get the materials to complete that one. Anyway, once you've beaten Manji's quest you can go freely through the new doorway.

I found the guy with the ball and chain around his ankle here. He is the one who makes those scrolls for the Balrog shoes, apparently:

He has a quest where he wants me to get 20 Balrog Leather. These only drop from the big balrog, so that's kinda tough.
I got down there to Muyoung, who is in the room at the foot of the path.

There's a trash note NPC at the Beginning of the Ant Tunnel with a quest to take the note to Muyoung, so I did that. Upon delivering the note, I was warped to this map:

I killed the Balrog and it stayed dead behind him (as you can see in the extraction.)
Once I did this and accepted this quest, I was warped back out, but then was able to enter the portal on the left side of Muyoung's room. Tristan is in here as well, though no timer and no balrog:

What does he want 200 of? No idea. Maybe kill the Balrog 200 times? You can see the quest he gave me here:

a medal... Maybe it is a Balrog Slayer Medal? No idea.

the last bit of news to report is that you need a party of at least 3 to enter the Balrog boss map. Muyoung wouldn't let me in with any less.

yeah I died and I had one of those Magic wheels which let me revive in the same map. It didn't act as a safety charm though. >_>
