it matter because media normalizes topics for the masses. im not going as far to say men will start beating their beaus and girls accepting it, but there will be a certain level of acceptance of it. along with that, how it resolves does show a certain level of our society. currently: CB has faced no jail time, Rih is going back to him, CB threw a pool party with a whole bunch of women w/o Rih there. our celebrities are also our idols, we as a mass, tend to follow their lead. they are the public voice now, not our politicians, teachers, artisans, or spiritual leaders anymore.
edit: its okay to hit a girl in street fighter....sometimes you just have to on your way to become a winner.
