No, I meant that it didn't really matter what they were talking about because they were just introduced in the episode before. Any sentimental junk with a character who was just just introduced doesn't work, cause there's no background, no knowledge of the character, etc.
And by relevant, I meant "pertaining to the episode." It's pretty relevant, since it doesn't exactly make the episode go off-track... it just makes no sense because we have no previous knowledge of the two characters. It's supposed to be one emotional scene, but all we get is a huge steaming pile of crap.
