Clean Slate Glitch?

I'm pretty sure we're working on different definitions of a feature here. I define a feature as intended.

I see. I define feature as "it's just there".

If that thing spat out Sprite when I wanted Coke, the machine needs maintenance. It's not a feature, it's a glitch in the system. If there is something in the system that shouldn't be there, it's called a glitch =S And thus, should not be abused. But let's leave it at this.

I probably used a bad example. I'm trying to think of an example in which something unintended was actually beneficial.

Jumpshooting/casting's a technical error ('glitch', if you will) that became a feature. Notice how it's not the other way around.

So maybe the player base doesn't know for sure that it's a glitch. But there is a certain way that Nexon (or whoever designed the scroll) intended for it to work, and as soon as it doesn't work that way, it's surely and definitely a glitch, from an objective point of view.

Now, as in the case of jumpshooting, it can be assimilated as a feature. But that is only after they say so. (Did they ever proclaim it directly? No. But they have shown, through featuring it in official videos and not acknowledging it as a glitch after it's common knowledge, that they do not regard it as such.)

Otherwise, if it's not working as they intended, and something quite obviously isn't working as intended, then it's a glitch. Now, whether that's good or bad for the economy, or whether it'll be passed off as a feature (highly unlikely), or whether it should be a bannable offense if done before announced as a glitch - all that's a different story.

If that thing gave me Sprite, I would smash it with a baseball bat.
