Actually now that I see it again, it does like like a knuckle...but a samurai, ninja thief knuckle.

Remember the statue? The main classes weapons were on the statue (including the gun). These bosses have the lesser classes weapons, including the knuckle. That's why i think these bosses will drop their weapons and the vault for the PQ will hold the weapons on the statue.
