Yeah, I don't think there are enough white scrolls and clean slates for this to matter. Once many people know about this "glitch," the prices of those items will inflate proportional to the usefulness of this "glitch" due to demand and the low supply of the scrolls.

I'd think the difference is primarily because so many new White Scrolls appeared with the NX Chest event.
The advantage is that you don't waste a white scroll if the scroll works, disadvantage being the 1.98% destruction rate and the cost of the clean slate scroll. Doesn't seem to have much of an effect, actually, other than for use with higher-than-10% scrolls, which have a higher chance of a wasted white scroll.
