Surprise! New version is failing, they're going to close it and ship you back to the old version.
Wouldn't you be pissed that they deleted your old 120 character and made you start over, only to force you back to the exact same place a year later?
So a merger means they delete your old character? I thought the whole reason behind the long time was that they were transferring the chars and information over. If that's not the case, then what's the difference between closing the old version and just making people download the other version?
