Blah, as a priest I am not too thrilled about this. I am level 109, but I have never ever bought leech and don't intend to ever sell it. (For the record, my character was made before fourth job ... And I've played this game way too long.) I know how to play my character. I was Zakuming and survivng at 9x when other priests were dying at 120+, and Pap'ing at 8x. (As soon as I hit the level where I could go into the room.)
This sort of isn't all that fair for priests, though. We have no efficient way of killing anything alone during third job. We do horrible damage (I mean, Shining Ray maxes at what, 5k~6kish per hit per monster during fourth job, or something ridiculous like that? At least F/P gets poison, I/L gets Ice Strike ... we get nothing of use, except Holy Symbol). If we were to be forced to follow these exp rules, we'd either be shafted into training at VooDoos/HooDoos until 120 or getting terrible experience from Himes (When we heal, we barely take any of the HP). I guess Grims are an option, too, though, but that's inefficient unless you split with someone and with this new formula it'd be useless.
And let me say, I leech experience but I try to pull my own weight. I make sure everyone always has HS on, I run around and heal people when I can (usually I follow the Heroes and try to keep down their potion use). This is what I have done ever since I became a Cleric ... Followed around my brother's character, a Fighter/Crusader/Hero, kept down his potion usage, and benefitted with experience. With Holy Symbol he doesn't even lose any experience as a result.
Realistically the best way to do something like block leech selling/buying would be to set up a system like the anti-bot system designed a while ago. (If you attack in 1 place too long, you cease attacking properly.) It should be something like if your character has not moved for a long time (say, >30 seconds) then they will receive no experience. Or if you have not attacked a monster for a long time (say >1 minute) you will not receive experience from the party. That means if you have HS support or something all they have to do is whack a monster every so often and be hanky panky. It also would put an end to AFK leeching--because in order to bypass they would have to "bot", which is against the ToS.
