I haven't played ToS2 yet though since it's not out in Europe. Not sure if I really want to either, considering what people have been saying about it. This new one definitely has me more interested.
Also, while I haven't experienced any of the new Free Run battle systems present in newer Tales games, I've watched a few videos of them... Am I the only one who vastly prefers the way the old battles looked? (I can't say anything about how they play, as I haven't tried any yet). Tales of Symphonia's battles looked good... the battles in newer Tales games, not so much. That's just my opinion from watching videos though -- maybe that will change when I actually get to play a Tales game with Free Run.
(Maybe I'm just biased. I've only played Phantasia and Symphonia. >_>)
That's their own mistake, making 2 games at the same time on a low budget is dumb, they should've just waited until Vesperia was done and then make ToS2. The only reason that game sold so much is because it had the name "Tales of Symphonia" in it anyway, it's that simple.
The free run system is fun, believe me. I hated how the battlefield was 3d and I could only walk in 2 directions, playing Abyss was a whole new thing for me with the Free Run system.
To above poster : His VA is good, but just not in this game. He was a good VA in Tales of The Abyss(Guy), though.
