Because he was going to use it as an example.

No. Then you just use the MTS to achieve the same goal. There's a dual system in Maple and if you don't like one, switch to the other. Also, purging the FM doesn't take more than 45 minutes at most if you don't want to use owl, and if you know where to look, usually it should take you no more than 10 minutes to find what you want. Right now you're just expressing your hate for Nexon and it's really not proving your point in any way.
I'm quite sure MTS is still quite buggy, and I know for sure a lot of items can't be placed in MTS. Onyx apples, facestompers, chaos scrolls and white scrolls for example. Besides, the search function for scrolls is badass flawed imo. I want a 30%, but all I see when I hit the "Ascending price order" (After waiting for like 15-20 seconds) is a ton of 70% scrolls.

The times I went around in Windia, searching for items, it took me 1 hr 10 mins constantly teleporting and going inside shops barely able to watch what's inside before moving on to next shop. I'd assume the crowdedness in all servers has increased, thus it'd take longer time if you want to search out for something.

The reason people who get 2x exp cannot stand grinding in 1x mode and thus become permanently addicted to 2x exp cards after experiencing a 2x exp event. Then there are people like me who can resist turning to 2x exp cards for faster exp. And there are more people who use MTS to finance their needs. Seriously though, Nexon is a company, they need financing. By all means if you don't want to pay, you don't have to, other people can pay your cost FOR you. Would you rather have a game where you'd pay $10 a month to stay on? Then that'd amount to $120 a year, and I know [most] people would not shell out that much money for a game. (yes, contrary to the stereotype, most people do not pay to play maple) I do not pay for maple and I get along fine.
Double experience is picky stuff, though in general, it could be described in this way: Most people state that they play for fun. For every person, fun is defined as achieving something, to master something or getting acknowledged because you have done something amazing. For people playing maple to level up, seeing all these people that pass you with double experience cards, you're losing that feeling of achieving something. To regain it, buy cards and play. This is for the people having their goal as levelling. I may be somewhat rusty on this though. I haven't studied game design for like a year.

10 dollars a month is actually very cheap for being a MMO. 120 dollars is for me 1.3 new PS3/X-box/Wii/PC-games. Also, it takes me half an hr to earn up 10 dollars, and I'm quite sure most people would earn it in less than 2 hrs. I don't think it would lessen the amount of players, really. WoW is a good example on this not being such a bad idea.

Besides, how did Nexon manage to keep their servers up if they did not have double experience to sell?

Wouldn't you agree though, that it is pretty much free? I don't see how Nexon is wrong in their advertisement of the "free" game. I still haven't charged NX and I still enjoy the game. Just stop comparing yourself to other maplers and you won't have to succumb to buying NX.
The game is free, but certain items that may increase the fun has to be bought with cash.

They're not. However, they give a sense of "high rank" I guess, to little children, because it would be their first chance at displaying their virtual wealth to the public.
I don't get why people would get a chair for 2 bill mesos anyway, lol.

What do you expect? That Nexon become a charity? There's a huge flaw in your logic. Nexon is a COMPANY! Companies are aimed at making profit. As I said, you can enjoy the game to it's full extent even if you do not pay NX. So stop complaining.
Nexon may not be a charity, but a company's first priority should not be money. In fact, money shouldn't be a priority at all. First priority should be being good and making customers happy. Paul Graham explains this pretty well. He talks about craigslist.org and says "It's not a charity, but they run it like one". And they have a higher income per employee than Google does. You should listen to the whole thing, it's brilliant.

Omg. Stop misinterpreting it. I said "courtesy" not "right". -.-

I didn't say "move over for a stranger", I said "make as wide of gap as you can". Obviously that would involve moving when nobody's around, or trying not to open ridiculously far from the person next to you.
If you want to save the spot for a friend of yours?

At least minimize the gap before you even open. It doesn't have to be perfect but every little move helps. Moving in the middle of a huge-assed gap and setting up is comparable to greed or laziness.
It's comparable to greed, I'd assume. Or trying to make profit. Having less shops in your free market means that there will be a higher chance of your store selling out items that other people potentially have, but has to move to other spots. FM 1, 2, 3, 4 and so forth shows us this already. After all, the point to have a shop open is to earn money, isn't it?

I see. You're one of the people who are only motivated because of the benefits it gives you. If everyone worked only for benefits, there'd be no guides around. We wouldn't be answering each others' questions on this forum, because me replying to you gives me no benefit either.
In fact, it does. Do some research under rhetoric and definitions of fun, and you'll see that being kind will at times be benefiting you. When I was number one in Bellocan, I replied to people whispering me. Yes, I did. You know what some people told me? That I "had to be the most kind pro out there, talking to a noob like me". I gained what we call in rhetoric ethos, and it benefited me because it gave me a good rumour of being kind and nice. And durr, why did I do this? Well, it was not only because I felt that not replying was bad and would make people somewhat sad. Well, maybe it was, but I (sadly) think my subconsciousness wanted me to achieve being a kind and nice "pro", not a "oh, this is a big fat g.i.r.l. not caring about others nerding in front of a computer".

Also, I wanted to talk about morals about what's right and wrong, why people do not do wrong things because it's not socially accepted, but some things in it is actually common sense. Though, some things may not be that easy to understand. Why do you pay your taxes? It's not because of economics at all, but because of what's morally wrong and right based on what the majority of the society you live in means. But I'll save that for another day, we'll prolly go off-t.

That reminds me... Chris, remember the old times? Ahh, Eddie, Jimmy and I managed to get about 7-8 shops in FM1 during new patches and server checks. Ahh, the memories. And you only got one or two Biggrin
