Ok, maybe you guys are not familiar with the inspiration for Versal.

In star trek, actually in all star trek series, they occasionally do episodes from the "Mirror Universe". In the mirror universe, everything (as far as locations go) is basically the same, but most of the historical events are reversed - Nazis won WW2, Instead of meeting the Vulcans in peace the humans killed them and stole their ship, etc. So, Humans are the bad guys in the mirror universe. This is probably best known from the "Evil goatee" because the first time the Mirror universe is mentioned, Spock's version in it has a goatee. Point is, everyone who exists in the regular Star Trek Universe has a mirror counterpart who is THE SAME. Many of them have similar roles as well, interests and such.
There are a lot of star trek references in Masteria (especially with Foxwit), and in previous Q&A NxProse said that the boomers multiplying ability was inspired by Tribbles, which are from star trek. So, he definitely is familiar with it. The similarities are too much for it to be coincidence, so I would expect more parallels with it in the future. Applying this to the Twisted Masters, if they were Versal counterparts of the originals, they'd match up in gender as well, but that's not the case. More likely, based on what Lukan said, these aren't exact parallels but rather some Versal people (Maybe they're bad guys in versal?) found Masteria, and Crimsonwood, and trained off the books there (which I believe Lukan specifically mentioned.)
