I have never in my life hit a woman, and I think that is wrong. However, there are no universals, not even in this.
I heard of an woman who had AIDS. She deliberately slept around and infected as many men as she could. She left a note for the guy, "welcome to the world of AIDS." If a woman does this, she's just cut the man's lifespan in half, and assured him an extremely painful death. This is inhuman, inhumane behavior, and honestly, she SHOULD be beaten, she SHOULD probably be killed for that through courts and lethal injection or whatever. However, to the best of my knowledge, doing this to people is not illegal because there is no way to prove that he got the AIDS from her, and not from another woman. The man who would beat her would be more liable in the eyes of the police for beating her, than her for destroying him.
My grandma has been destroying my family's life for the past 30 years. She screams at my mom every day for extended periods the moment my mom gets home from a 14 hour workday. My dad and I have not said a word to her in the past 15 years, but she talks to us, giving us directions like we are somehow her family or connected to her. All my youth, until I grew to hate her, she "parented" me while my parents were at work, trying as hard as she could to make me into an pimento, (she failed.) She promised my parents help in getting an apartment when they first got married, (housing in the Soviet Union was very scarce,) but it was just a lie to get them in HER apartment. She sets the branches of my family against each other, playing a nasty kind of politics, because it brings her joy to see disharmony and hatred developing. She is a raging, screaming, evil b!tch. According to people like you, OP, it is okay for her to torment my immediate and extended family until God gives her fat ass a stroke or heart attack, but it is NOT okay for me to hit her even once for it. I have never in my life hit a woman, but in her case I've been sorely tempted. I am not a violent, nasty person, but this much hatred, this much abuse... yeah, I've been tempted.
