When is it okay for a man to hit a woman?

I think 'real men' wouldn't hit females, that's just stupid and immorral. Sure, we should try to treat females like equals in terms of job opportunities, but that doesn't mean we can treat them like other tough muscular men out there. Females have less body mass-muscles and are physical weaker (proven). They're not punching bags. :|

I agree. I once had a discussion about this (which ended up 2 people hating me) and I had a very similar point of view. Women stereotypically have their natural abilities, and so are guys. We need to learn to complement each other rather than comparing each others. Hitting someone IMO is just a sore way of saying "I have power". Having said that however, I dont really know what happened with Chris Brown and Rhiana (sp?), so they get my benefit of doubt.
