Lol, the keep is overrun with versalians, so just because the maple world didn't have pirates doesn't mean that the versal world doesn't. Besides, they are using the old keep, so they apparently haven't changed the crest. Plus, we don't even know what this statue is yet, it could be a relic of the past which would possibly be a plot hole, or it could be the stone version of a boss that's been defeated
