I don't know about going away completely... Some of these equips, and their lower-level counterparts are either found through lots of questing, or are rare finds in the FM, usually for several million mesos. Some players starting fresh, or those who choose not to use gachapon to earn starting cash, or heck even those like me who are just cheap will have a hard time getting those "perfect" equips.
I have no problem with no or low-stat builds, but I do like the more conventional builds as well, so long as there continue to be incentives. Like, rather than releasing these new statless weapons, it'd be nice to occasionally see a new tantalizing tidbit with a secondary stat requirement to compete with the statless. I suppose using Ribgol vs. Berserker at lvl 100 on a Sader/White Knight is an example that comes to mind, but then again it's probably not that hard to drum up 120 DEX at lvl 100.
