Pros:

+Range
+Puppet = Sex. Best non-damage/buff skill in the entire game IMHO, though I'm probably missing a skill here and there.
+Freezing move
+Freezing summon, and a stunning summon for backup.
+A strong, versatile skillset that allows me to give a good response to any situation
+Snipe
+Cheap gears and scrolls (relatively)
+NL goes gaga over SE. Everyone else loves it too, really.

-HP problem is bleh. I'm somewhat blooded and I still can't survive a bunch of things I wish I can survive. Mainly right pianus. CWK2 sounds pretty scary to me. Puppet helps out in some cases but... still.
-Needs work to surpass BMs. The skill improvement and damage cap increase helps but they ain't here yet, and SI isn't everywhere.
-Piercing is meh. At least until the 1 second thing arrives. And even then Snipe sound better to me cuz I boss more than I train and I mostly stick around Guardians anyways when I do train.
-Dragon Breath doesn't work on mobile bosses. If only I could push that BF/pap around...
-People seem to automatically assume BMs as better.
